DONG HOI ADMINISTRATIVE MAP

As the political, economic, cultural and scientific center of Quang Binh province, Dong Hoi City has played a significant role in the province's socio-economic and cultural development. Recently, the Party and State of Vietnam have paid much attention to Quang Binh, especially in its infrastructure. Many important constructions have been built, including the bridges across Gianh, Nhat Le, and Quan Hau rivers; the Cha Lo international Border Gate; the Ho Chi Minh Road. The Dong Hoi airport is going to be built. Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park was recognized by UNESCO as one of the world's heritages. Dong Hoi is situated by the Highway No. 1A, the Ho Chi Minh Road, the North-South railway, seaways and East-West roads. Given its favorable geographical location, Dong Hoi has played an important role in Quang Binh's cooperation with other provinces and cities in service of its socio-economic development. During the process of economic integration, Dong Hoi town has asserted itself as the heart town of Quang Binh, one of the specialized center in the northern part of the central region and a transit service center throughout the country as well as in the region and the world.
