362 Vallet scholarships awarded to pupils in three Central provinces
TT - In Dong Hoi city (Quang Binh province), Vietnam Meeting Organization (Rencontres du Vietnam - RVN) has lately granted 362 Vallet scholarships to pupils coming from 34 primary, secondary and high schools in three Central provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Ha Tinh.
Total money given in this course was over VND 570 million, of which Quang Binh was granted 287 scholarships; Quang Tri 40 ones and Ha Tinh 35 ones. Dang Ngoc Thanh, a pupil of the Quang Binh gift high school who won silver medal in the 48th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO2007) in Ha Noi, was awarded VND 4.2 million.
In academic year of 2007-2008, the Vietnam Meeting Organization will continue to grant more 2,100 scholarships to outstanding but poor pupils.
