The selection of the 3rd gold cup "for the cause of community development" and the cup for "excellent business leader 2008" aims to honour and encourage the businesses, entrepreneurs, excellent individuals, scientists, artists and typical athletes who have made the great contributions for the cause of community development.

After considered carefully, the Board of Organizers agreed to grant 106 gold cups "for the cause of community development" for the 3rd time to 97 collectives and 9 individuals, 93 cups for "excellent business leader 2008" to typical entrepreneurs nationwide.

Quang Binh’s two businesses were honourably given the gold cup "for the cause of community development", namely: the Viet Trung Rubber Company and the Cosevco Construction and Building Material Production Joint-stock Company No.1.
