Vice-chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai receives and works with Deputy Assistant Secretary Stephen Ganyard of the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs

At the meeting, Vice-chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai informed Mr Stephen Ganyard about the provincial socio-economic situation and cooperation between Quang Binh province (Vietnam) and US. He hoped that US would create condition and call upon the organizations to assist Quang Binh, especially in clearance of unexploded ordnance, help the victims of the war, give a support of HIV/AIDS prevention, health, education and training...

Deputy Assistant Secretary for Plans, Programs, and Operations in the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs highly appreciated the province's effort in cooperation with US. He confirmed that he wanted to learn about the provincial socio-economic situation, the reality of clearance of unexploded ordnance in Quang Binh province and learn about the life of victims of the war... Mr. Stephen Ganyard promised to boost cooperation with Quang Binh province, and to carry out work of survey and clearance of unexploded ordnance as well as give a support for the victims of the war in the coming time.
