The portrait of General Vo Nguyen Giap was photographed by journalist Tran Hong - former reporter, photographer of the Vietnam People's Army Newspaper at the General's house while the General was talking with the people of An Xa village in November 2004. This is one of photos that General Vo Nguyen Giap likes the most.
At the ceremony, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong and Vice-chairmen received General Vo Nguyen Giap's portrait presented by journalist Tran Hong and concurrently granted the General's portrait to the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism for preservation and display at the Provincial Museum.
