Workshop on promotion of loaning and employment opportunity for pesons with disabilities

At present, Quang Binh has more than 40,000 PWDs, of which nearly 90% living in rural area and having difficult economic condition, especially PWDs living in mountainous and coastal areas. However, there are only 2,957 PWDs having the ability of working, of which only 93 disabled people having stable jobs in economic fields. The remainders receive no employment opportunity and financial support.

At the workshop, delegates listened to the experts of AEPD reporting on the state of loaning and employment opportunity for PWDs; the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs making the overall report of PWDs and policy for PWDs; recommendation letter of AEPD about the policy of loaning and employment opportunity for PWDs; especially, the ideas of the representative of PWDs and small enterprises owned by PWDs.

The workshop was an opportunity for departments and branches to help and create favorable condition for PWDs to learn about the policies and loaning in order to create employment and improve income for PWDs, contributing to bringing Quang Binh to promptly reduce poverty and promote sustainable development.
