The Building Materials Joint-stock Company No.1-5 commemorates 40 years of its establishment and welcomes third-grade Independence Medal
Attending the ceremony was Mr Luong Ngoc Binh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr Nguyen Huu Hoai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; members of the Standing Committees of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of departments and branches, unions and localities in the province.
After 40 years of development (1971 - 2011), the company has built up its trade name to customers inside and outside the province and become one of ten typical businesses of Quang Binh province.
The company said that from 2006 to 2010, its total value of fixed assets increased from VND11 billion to VND40 billion; its average dividend was 36% a year. The company has provided stable jobs for 350 laborers with average income from VND1,294,000 to VND3,000,000/month/year. In the first quarter of 2010 alone, the company’s turnover reached VND17 billion and contributed VND1.67 billion to State budget, reached 113% of yearly plan.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai highly valued great achievements and contributions made by the Building Materials Joint-stock Company No.1-5 to the province’s socio-economic development. Chairman asked the company need to uphold its good tradition to complete the assigned tasks in the coming time. Chairman stressed that the company should focus on technological renovation, diversification of products, expansion of market, improvement of competitiveness for products, building trade name, improving the income for laborers and training the professional staff, meeting the demand for the process of industrialization and modernization.

On this occasion, the Company had the honour of receiving the third-grade Independence Medal granted by the State President for its excellent achievements, contributing to the cause of building socialism and firmly protecting fatherland.
