Bas-relief in tribute to heroes and martyrs in Tam Co Cave inaugurated
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thu, Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vuong Van Viet, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and representative of relevant agencies and localities.

Cutting ribbon to inaugurate bas-relief in tribute to heroes and martyrs
In order to pay a tribute to heroes and martyrs who sacrified their lives at the Road 20-Quyet Thang during the heoric struggle for national liberation, the People's Committees of Thanh Hoa province and Quang Binh province has cooperated to build a bas-relief in memory of heroes and martyrs in Tam Co Cave. The project is invested by the Thanh Hoa Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
So far, the bas-relief has basically completed to welcome the 67th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27th).

The skilly-carved bas-relief has 6.8m high and 12.6m width, featuring the hardship struggles and glorious feats of heroes and martyrs on the Road 20 - Quyet Thang to ensure transport of weapons and food for the battlefield.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa People's Committee reviewed the glorious history of the Road 20 - Quyet Thang with the heroic sacrifice of eight volunteers in Tam Co Cave.
He also thanked Quang Binh authorities and people for assistance in building the bas-relief and expressed his deep sympathy with the great losses of relatives of heroes and martyrs.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh People's Committee Tran Tien Dung thanked the Thanh Hoa People's Committee for construction of bas-relief in tribute to heroes and martyrs in Tam Co Cave, and affirmed that this is a significant activity, expressing a deep gratitude to heroes and martyrs who laid down their lives for national independence.
