Industrial production index in July rose 7.6%

(Quang Binh Portal) – The province’s industrial production index (IPI) in July grew by 7.6% compared to last month and by 17.5% compared to the same period last year, according to information from the Department of Industry and Trade.

In the first seven months of the year, IPI rose 8.4% from the same period last year. Of which, the manufacturing went up by 9.3%; the power generation and supply grew by 5.5%; the water supply and waste treatment increased by 4.5%, the mining fell by 4.3% from the previous year’s similar period.

As of late 2015, some main industrial products reached the high growth rate, including refined brick 131 million bricks, grew by 8.5%; clinker 1.49 million tons, rose 23%; cement 887.000 tons, rose 8.2%; trade electricity 419 million Kwh, rose 5%; running water 4.33 million m3, increased 5.3%; building stone 1.67 million m3, grew by 3%; cassava 5,782 tons, grew by 8.9% from the similar period last year.

Some products had the low growth rate such as frozen cuttles 773 tons, fell by 2.7%; bottled beer 10.3 million liters, fell by 3.4%...
