The event was attended by Mr. Vu Son Thuy, Consul General of Vietnam in Mumbai, the Republic of India; Mr. Oberai Satpal Singh, Chairman of the Quasathu Investment Limited Company and representatives of departments and branches in the province.

After making a fact-finding tour to Quang Binh to explore the local investment environment, investors from India have planned investment report of three projects in the province, including the project of development and expansion of Phong Nha - Ke Bang ecological and recreational area in Phong Nha village, Son Trach commune (Bo Trach district); Spa hot spring tourism area and a bottled hot water production line in Phuc Trach commune (Bo Trach district); construction of infrastructures for Vietnam - India industrial park in Quang Tung commune (Quang Trach district).

At the meeting, two sides discussed some issues relating to scale, land use area, investment, planning and progress for implementing the projects. Two sides also agreed to ink a MoU on investment cooperation in the province.

Accordingly, in the forthcoming time, the Quasathu Investment Limited Company will conduct a survey and planned investment report as stipulated in Law on Investment; and propose investment orientations for projects to summit to competent level for approval.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Quang Binh always welcomes foreign and domestic investors to Quang Binh province. Local authorities will create all favorable conditions and design preferential policies to support Indian businesses at the maximum level. In the process of implementation, two sides will exchange potential problems and solve difficulties to help conduct the projects effectively.
