The event was attended by Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director Gernetal of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT); Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of Vietnam Airlines, Vietnam Railways, businesses operating tourism from Ha Noi, some Northern provinces and Quang Binh province together with 90 reporters from central and local press agencies.

The conference aims to provide information on local tourism products and services for travel companies; promote potentials and advantages of Quang Binh tourism and introduce about investment environment and preferential policies for tourism investment in Quang Binh.

Reportedly, Quang Binh tourism received nearly 3 million tourists in 2015, including nearly 100,000 foreign arrivals. Quang Binh has become a safe, friendly and attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists with many different forms of tourism such as sea tourism, ecotourism, discovery tourism, adventure tourism and spiritual tourism.

Many destinations have attracted a large number of tourists, including Phong Nha cave, Thien Duong cave, Son Doong cave, Tu Lan cave, Tam Co cave, Nhat Le beach, Bao Ninh beach, etc. Especially, Quang Binh is home to Vung Chua - Yen Island tourism area, where is the resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

In 2016, Quang Binh will focus on enhancing quality of tourism products and services, gradually improving tourism infrastructure and traffic system; strengthening price noticement, tourism development and environmental protection, especially exploiting new routes and attractions such as "Exploration of Va Cave - Nuoc Nut Cave, experience the difference" tour, spiritual tourism of Hoang Phuc pagoda, tour to explore Thien Duong cave with 7,000m length, tour of Sinh Ton valley - trans Dark Cave with 6,000m length.

Besides, the province will pay attention to cultural activities and local festival such as Dong Hoi tourism and culture week, Quang Binh international beer festival, traditional boat racing festival on Kien Giang river...

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that the authorities, tourism businesses and press agencies will creat favorable conditions and assist Quang Binh tourism develop and become a key economic sector of the province.
