More than 20,000 people flocked to the General's grave during national holiday

(Quang Binh Portal) - More than 20,000 people flocked to Vung Chua - Yen Island in Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh provice to pay homage to General Vo Nguyen Giap during the national holiday (April 30th and May 1st).

Yearly, the national holiday (April 30th and May 1st) is an opportunity for people to take relax and spend time for their relatives and family. However, a lof of people also spend their time on visiting spiritual places and landscapes.

According to PetroTimes, on the morning of May 2nd, at the first gleam of daylight, thousands of visitors across the country paid tribute and burnt incense to the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua - Yen Island in Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.

Senior Lieutenant Khac Ngoc Tan Hao, Head of the Guard Team at the General’s grave siad that thousands of visitors across the country have offered incense to the late General on this occasion. On the afternoon of May 2nd, around 20,000 people came to the grave.

The officer also said that the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command and other relevant agencies have increased the guard force to ensure security and safety for visitors.
