Chairman of the Provincial People's Council speaks at the session

Mr. Hoang Dang Quang, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council presided over the session.

After three working days with the spirit of responsibility, urgency, seriousness, and democracy, the 4th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council successfully ended, contributing to completing all contents and the agenda of the 17th Provincial People's Council's 4th session.

Speaking at the closing session, Chairman received ad highly appreciated delegates' opinions on socio-economic development situation in 2016 and put forward 6 groups of major solutions on socio-economic development tasks in 2017.

In this session, the 17th Provincial Poeple's Council discussed and approved 13 resolutions and the socio-economic development plan in 2017; decided a number of important issues and continued to institutionalize resolutions of the Party, National Assembly, and Government, and the 17th Provincial Party Congress’s Resolution with the spirit of further overcoming difficulties and challenges, promoting economic development together with ensuring social security and stabilizing people’s lives.

Delegates vote to adopt resolutions

Closing the 4th session of the Provincial People's Council, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted that 2017 is the important year for development of the 2015-2020 term while Quang Binh is coping with a lot of difficulties and challenges. The tasks for 2017 are very tough, requiring levels, sectors, and local authorities to make further efforts to achieve the highest result in realizing the socio-economic development plan and strive to accomplish the common goal of the five-year plan (2015 – 2020).

Measures in need of concentrated implementation to solve difficulties and promote development were specified by the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. Those were: comprehensively realizing solutions of direction and management; proactively working out specific plans and action programmes to deploy in each field; learning from experiences and overcoming shortcomings and mistakes in realization of the province's socio-economic tasks, especially subjective factors in management and direction, contributing to fulfill the set tasks in 2017.
