Miss Grand International 2017 is among the five largest beauty contests in the world, attracting participants from 80-90 countries.

With the theme “End to the war and conflict”, the Miss Grand International 2017 is scheduled to take place in the three cities of Vietnam, including Quang Binh, Thua Thien-Hue and Kien Giang on October 5-25. The National Costume Competition will be organised at Quang Binh province from October 15-19.

The competition includes a range of main activities such as press conference, swimsuit and national costume performance; preliminary round and final round.

Besides, during the contest, the participants often visit and support war-affected children; join other charity activities and contribute to efforts for peace.

The event will be a very good occasion to promote the image of country, people and culture of Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee affirmed that the province would create all favorable conditions for the Organizing Board to successfully organize the 2017 Miss Grand International Beauty Pageant, contributing to spread the image of Quang Binh in general, tourism of Quang Binh in particular to international friends.

Reportedly, this will be the second time that Vietnam has been chosen to host an international beauty pageant, having hosted the Miss Universe Pageant in 2008.
