Working with Hungarian delegation on Quang Trach water supply project for second phase

 (Quang Binh Portal) - On April 22, a Hungarian delegation led by Mr. Tombor Balint – Chief Politic Consultant of the Ministry of Hungary Foreign Affair and Economy and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in Vietnam had a meeting with the Provincial People"s Committee on implementing the second phase of the Quang Trach water supply project.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committeee Nguyen Xuan Quang and representatives of related departments and branches.

At the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Xuan Quang briefly introduced on geographical position, natural conditions and some socio-economic achievements of the province in the past years. He was also pleased to a better relationship between Vietnam and Hungary.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Vice Chairman Nguyen Xuan Quang sent his sincere thanks for good sentiments and assistances of the Hungarian government and people for Vietnam in general and Quang Binh in particular, including the Quang Trach water supply project.

Started construction from 2013, the Quang Trach water supply project has used source of credit of the Hungarian Government with a total capital of over 28 million EUR and a capacity of 22,000 m3 a day, providing clean water for 22 communes along the Gianh River of Quang Trach district and Ba Don town.

The project is divided into two phases. The implementation of the first phase is currently completed and put into use. The projec's second phase has a total capital of 15.7 million EUR, providing clean water for 12 communes and wards in the north of the Gianh River.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tombor Balint sincerely thanked for warm reception of Quang Binh province and committed to give a financial support for the implementation of the project's second phase, ensuring the progress as scheduled.

Besides, he also expressed his hope that the Hungary-funded projects in Vietnam, including the Quang Trach water supply project, will promote effectiveness, bring more benefits, improve livelihoods and enhance the people's lives.
