In first six months of 2017: industrial production index rose by 5.4%

 (Quang Binh Portal) - According to information from the Department of Industry and Trade, industrial production index in the first six months of 2017 rose by 5.4% from the same period last year. In industrial sectors, the mining sector increased by 6.1%; the manufacturing and processing rose by 5.4%; power production and distribution grew by 3.9%; water supply and waste and waster water disposal rose by 3.5%.

In particular, some main industrial sectors achieved a growth rate as follows: the clothing production sector rose by 15%; the wood processing and wooden products production up 11.5%; the other mining (building stone) up 5%; food processing and production grew by 3.8%; etc.

Besides, industrial production value was estimated to reach VND5,094 billion, up 6.3% over the same period last year. Of which, state economy was estimated to reach VND383 billion, grew by 6.1%; non-state economy reached VND4,704 billion, up 6.3%; foreign-invested economy was estimated to reach VND8 billion, went up to 16.4%.

In addition, some main industrial products had a fair growth, including 1,578 thousand m3 of building stone, up 5.2%; 6,649 tons of cassava, up 5.9%; 8,499 thousand liters of bottled beer, up 0.7%; 4,912 shirts, up 15%; 758 thousand tons of cement, up 2.1%; 390 million kwh of trade electricity, up 3.7%, etc.
