Prime Minister and delegates attend opening of Nhat Le 2 Bridge
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Deputy Minister of Transportation Le Dinh Tho and leaders of ministries and central agencies.
On the side of Quang Binh province, there were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Dang Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Cong Thuat, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai and others.
Prime Minister cut ribbon to open Nhat Le 2 bridge
The 2-kilometre long bridge connecting Dong Hoi city with neighbouring commune of Bao Ninh costs VND936.6 billion.
Located around 3 kilometres south of Nhat Le 1 Bridge, the cable-stayed Nhat Le 2 Bridge is 23.6 metres wide and consists of four lanes. The bridge’s largest span is 150 metres and has a tower height of 97.5 metres.
The bridge is complete after five years of construction.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee declares to open Nhat Le 2 bridge to traffic
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai stressed that Nhat Le 2 birdge is considered as one of the province’s key infrastructure projects required to tap into the tourism potential of Bao Ninh commune and improve the province’s coastal road network as well as attract domestic and foreign investments and business opportunities.
On behalf of provincial leaders, Chairman thanked the Government, especially Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, ministries and central agencies for creating conditions for Nhat Le 2 bridge to complete its construction as scheduled. He also recorded efforts made by the Department of Transportation, related departments and branches, Party Committee and people of Quang Binh province, etc.
