76 contestants perform in tradition national costume contest

The event attracted the attendances of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Truong Duy Bien, President of Miss Grand International 2017 Nawat Itsaragrisil and Miss Grand International 2016 Ariska Putri Periwi.

On the side of Quang Binh province, there were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party's Committee Tran Cong Thuat, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung, head of the local organising board.

With the theme named "Ending war and violence", 76 contestants from 76 countries in the world competed in the national costume contest with the splendid and multicoloured performances, making a good impression on viewers.

Vietnamese representative Nguyen Tran Huyen My appeared in a traditional long dress (Ao Dai) which weighs 30 kilograms. Her national costume has been made by designer Ngo Nhat Huy after three months. The dress is inspired by patterns at the Hue Imperial Citadel. Huyen My confidently performed on the stage.

Under the plan, the contestants will visit and present gifts to children with disabilities in Quang Trach district and take photographs at Quang Phu sand dune in Dong Hoi city on October 13.

It was known that 76 beauties took part in outdoor activities such as visiting Thien Duong Cave, enjoying special food and making a traditional conical hat in Quang Binh from October 10 to 12.

The grand final will take place on Phu Quoc Island, Kien Giang on October 25.
