Endangered bison spotted at Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park
Scientists have found over a dozen Guar or Indian Bison in the central province of Quang Binh at Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park through photographic traps.
This is among the results of a programme to survey some kinds of major animals at Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.

The survey also detected the animal which is suspected to be the goat-like bovine Saola. This has proved the effectiveness of the park’s management board in protecting endangered animals.
At least three bisons have also been detected near the Bang hot mineral spring in Le Thuy District’s Kim Thuy Commune, Quang Binh Province recently.
Earlier, bison hoof prints were spotted at Bac Huong Hoa Nature Reserve in Quang Tri Province
The bull is listed in Vietnam’s Red Book of endangered species.
