In the speech delivered at the ceremony, the Provincial Party Committee Secretary recalled the heroic historical tradition, the milestones in the construction and growth stages, affirming determination and efforts to successfully implement the innovation, building increasingly rich and beautiful Quang Binh homeland. Accordingly, on June 30, 1989, at the 5th session, the 8th National Assembly issued a Resolution on split of Binh Tri Thien administrative boundary into 03 provinces: Thua Thien - Hue, Quang Tri and Quang Binh. After 13 years of consolidation, on July 1, 1989, Quang Binh province was returned to the administrative boundary and the name was very sacred. The outstanding achievement after 30 years of re-establishing is that Quang Binh has overcome the economic and social stagnation, bringing the economy into a stable position. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth rate in the period 1989 - 2019 reached 8.2%, compared to the year of 1989, the economic scale increased by 119 fold, GRDP per capita increased by 89 fold. The areas of culture, society, education, health, employment, life and social security policies have made important steps, creating new imprints in the development process. The material and spiritual life of the people is constantly improving. In 1989, the poverty rate was nearly 50%, so far it has decreased to 6.14%. Society and politics are stable; defense and security are strengthened, social order and safety are maintained. Socialist democracy are promoted and expanded. The great unity bloc of the people is firmly consolidated. External activities are focused; the strength of every aspect of the province is raised. The work of building the Party and political system is implemented comprehensively, which is a key stage; the Party is strong both in politics, ideology, organization and morality, creating high unity in the Party and the People.
