The provincial People's Committee worked with SCG Group - Thailand on the Sharing the Dream 2019 Scholarship Program for students in the area

At the meeting, the representative of SCG Group briefly introduced about their work and announced the implementation of Sharing the Dream 2019 Scholarship Program in the province. Accordingly, SCG Group is one of the leading industrial groups in Southeast Asia that carries out multidisciplinary activities, of which three main fields consist of petrochemical, packing, cement - construction materials. In Vietnam, SCG currently has 22 subsidiary companies operating with more than 8,600 employees.

The content of the Sharing the Dream 2019 Scholarship Program refers to: applicants received the scholarship are the first or second year students studying at Quang Binh University, Quang Binh College of Industrial and Agricultural Technology, Quang Binh Vocational College; 50 scholarships are for 50 students having the difficult family circumstances but the learning and training results are good and excellent; the value of the scholarship is VND 6 million/person/year with the total value of this scholarship of VND 300 million. In addition, students also have the opportunities to participate in training activities of social skills, professional skills...
The scholarship program is implemented according to the admission procedure which ensures the strictness from the media, receiving application, direct interviews to the scholarship award ceremony. The duration of the program started in early September and is expected to award scholarships at the end of November 11, 2019.

After listening to the content of the Sharing the Dream Scholarship Program, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Tran Tien Dung thanked SCG Group for caring and creating favourable conditions to support students in the province to pursue their studying dreams; he simultaneously assigned tasks to the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Youth Union and the related university and colleges in close coordination with the SCG Group to implement the program effectively...
