Receiving aid from foreign non-governmental organizations
Accordingly, the Eden Social Welfare Foundation (Taiwan) provided a non-refundable aid of USD 17,820 to implement the project of landmine victim assistance in Quang Binh province in 2019 - 2020. The project will support seeds for landmine victims to develop livelihood models and health care costs to strengthen the ability and promote the social inclusion for them.
On the same day, the Provincial People's Committee also approved and received DKT International's aid (USA) for the project of support for reproductive health care and family planning for women members in remote areas, disadvantaged areas and ethnic women in Quang Binh province. The goal of the project is to provide free contraception for women members of in remote areas, disadvantaged areas and ethnic minority women of reproductive age who need to use to prevent having unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS.
The Provincial People's Committee requested the Association for Improvement of Persons with Disabilities in Quang Binh Province, the Provincial Women's Union to receive and use aid capital in the province effectively following the State's regulations on management and use of foreign non-governmental aid and other relevant regulations.
