Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee received assistance package from Plan International

At the meeting, the representative of Plan International Vietnam said that Plan International approved an assistance package worth 60,000 euros (equivalent to over 1.6 billion VND) for emergency relief activities to support flood-hit residents in Quang Binh to overcome the aftermath of the flood. The support package including food, essential hygiene items (about 15 items) will be given to 3,400 households in 23 communes of Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts.

According to Plan International Vietnam, this is an emergency support package belonging to phase 1 of the program of supporting flood-hit residents in Quang Binh. Currently, Plan International is fundraising to carry out phase 2 and phase 3 of the program, including food and education support; and protection of children during and after floods in Minh Hoa district (phase 2) and restore livelihoods for flood-hit residents (phase 3) with the support value of 250,000-300,000 Euros.

On behalf of the leaders of Quang Binh province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received the support package and thanked the affection of Plan International for flood-hit residents in Quang Binh.
