Minh Hoa district: delete 800 temporary houses for poor households
(Quang Binh Website) - Implementing the program on poverty reduction and job creation in the period of 2006-2011, Minh Hoa district has supported to delete 800 temporary houses for poor households, reached 100 percent of the plan; rate of poor households fell to 30.51 percent in 2010 from 55.6 percent in 2006, reduced by 5% on average.
During the past five years, 6,640 people at working age have been provided with stable jobs, of which 2,120 laborers have been created new jobs, reached 106 percent as against the planned targets.
Through the Bank for Social Policy, 14,070 households in the district have been loaned to improve their life, promote socio-economic development and create jobs with the total outstanding debts of over VND207 billion.
