Festivals open nationwide to provide fun and cheers to tourists on public holiday
A series of festivals are being organised across the county on April 28, promising to bring lot of fun and cheers to tourists on the five-day public holiday from April 29 to May 3.

In Thua Thien Hue province, the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 opened yesterday under the theme “The quintessence of Vietnamese traditional crafts”.
The week-long festival attracted the participation of around 400 artisans from 69 famous craft villages and establishments across the country, and 37 artisans from cities France, Japan, Belgium Republic of Korea and Japan which have twinning and cooperative relations with Hue city.
The event will offer a good chance for visitors to get insights into 21 groups of traditional crafts such as weaving, fine art carpentry, sculpture, lacquer, rattan and bamboo weaving, bakery, paper making, traditional folk painting, and ceramic craft, among others.

* A colourful street carnival kicked off in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province on the same day as the starting event of the city’s Culture and Tourism Week 2023.
The carnival brought together nearly 350 performers who are models, street circus artists, dancers from lion and dragon art troupes, and dance crews.
* Sea lovers can head to Hoang Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province, to join assorted activities being held within the framework of the Hai Tien Sea Tourism Festival, which kicked off yesterday at the Hai Tien tourist site.
The opening ceremony of the festival featured a music programme and a 10-minute low-range firework display.
At the culture and cuisine festival in Quang Tri
* Visitors to Quang Tri province at this time can take part in the culture and cuisine festival, which is being co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the provincial People’s Committee.
The festivalgoers are invited to sample signature dishes of Quang Tri province as well as specialties of other cities and provinces across Vietnam.
* Also on April 28, the authorities of Ninh Binh province held a to mark the 1,055th anniversary of the establishment of Dai Co Viet, the first feudal state of Vietnam, and kick off the annual Hoa Lu Festival.
