Quang Binh steps up cooperation with Laos’s Salavan
A cooperation agreement was signed on April 23 during the talks between the leaders of Vietnam’s Quang Binh Province and Laos’s Salavan Province.

A cooperation agreement was signed on April 23 during the talks between the leaders of Vietnam’s Quang Binh Province and Laos’s Salavan Province.
The talks were attended by Quang Binh Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang and his Salavan counterpart Daovong Phonkeo, who shared information on their socio-economic development and proposed some contents for cooperation between the two provinces.
The Quang Binh leader said although the two provinces do not border each other, they share many similarities and have a close relationship in many activities.
Following the talks, the two sides agreed to cooperate on a number of contents.
Specifically, each year Quang Binh will support Salavan to train 10 officials in the Vietnamese language and Lao students at educational institutions in the province.
Meanwhile Salavan will help Quang Binh train one official/student at the National University of Laos.
The two provinces will also promote cooperation in trade and tourism while encouraging and facilitating enterprises to invest in the fields of their strengths.
