70.000 tons of fish, shrimp, and squid is the catch of Quang Binh fishermen in the first 9 months of 2024
According to the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province Quang BinhIn recent times, the unit has directed the strengthening of fishing vessel management, ensuring safety for people and fishing vessels operating in fisheries exploitation and services at sea.
Due to relatively favorable weather, stable prices and consumption markets, fishermen have been motivated to actively go offshore. As a result, the estimated output for 9 months reached over 69.600 tons, mainly fish, shrimp, squid, clams, etc.

Quang Binh fishermen went offshore and caught nearly 70.000 tons of fish, shrimp, and squid in 9 months of 2024
Along with that, this unit has promptly implemented support policies according to Decision No. 48/2010/QD-TTg, dated July 13, 7 of the Prime Minister. Prime minister Goverment on a number of policies to encourage and support exploitation, aquaculture and seafood exploitation services in offshore areas to reduce difficulties for fishermen; since the beginning of the year, 10 support periods with over 230 billion VND have been provided.
For aquaculture, farmers have released fish according to the seasonal scenario, taken care of farmed fish, strengthened disease control, strictly controlled the origin and quality of fish, maintained a stable pond environment and harvested areas that reached commercial size before the rainy season.
Up to now, the farming area of the whole province is over 6.514 hectares, with farming output reaching over 10.800 tons.
