Indian investors seeks opportunities in Quang Binh

(Quang Binh Portal) – Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai on June 13 had a meeting with a contingent of investors from India to discuss the potential for future cooperation and investment.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Vu Son Thuy, Consul General of Viet Nam to Mumbai, the Republic of India; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quang, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and representatives of related agencies.

At the meeting, Mr. Satpal Singh Oberai, Managing Director of the Bombay Finance India, expessed his pleasure with the number of great opportunities in the province.

Accordingly, with a total estimated investment of USD550 million, Indian investor highlighted three promising projects, including a cave tourism project in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park which would provide sightseeing tours of a cave, a project to build a tourist resort and golf course along with another that would produce industrial products.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai thanked and extended his sincere appreciation for Indian investors’ visit to Quang Binh province for seeking investment opportunities. Chairman also assured his Indian investors the province would create all favorable conditions and design appropriate policies to support them.

In frame of the group’s visit, Indian investors made a fact-finding tour to explore investment environment in Hon La Economic Zone and some sites and caves in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.
