Quang Binh has 3 more national intangible cultural heritages

The recognized national intangible cultural heritages are valuable assets, a solid foundation for Quang Binh to continue to preserve and promote heritage values, contributing to the exploitation and development of cultural tourism.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh visited and presented gifts to the Khuong Ha Tuong Boi Club, Hung Trach (November 11)

On December 12.12, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province Quang Binh Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung has just signed a decision to recognize three heritages of Quang Binh as national intangible cultural heritages. 

Specifically, the three heritages honored include: The Full Moon Festival in March in Minh Hoa district (a traditional festival), Tuong Boi singing in Hung Trach commune (Bo Trach) and Sac Bua singing in Minh Hoa district and Dong Hoi city (a folk performing art).

In particular, the full moon festival in March in Minh Hoa district has entered the consciousness of the people and become a community cultural activity, crystallizing the unique culture of the mountainous countryside. The festival is held in the third lunar month every year, attracting a large number of tourists to experience the spiritual, cultural and artistic values. 

Singing spells in Minh Hoa district

Tuong Boi singing in Hung Trach commune and Sac Bua singing in Minh Hoa district and Dong Hoi city are unique folk art forms, preserved, conserved and developed by local people through many generations. 

Khuong Ha Tuong Boi (Hung Trach) is organized in the form of a troupe of 13 to 18 people including: Tuong teacher (director), actress, actor, clown, and the roles of king, lord, general, soldier, teacher, student, and crowd.

Tuong melodies have many styles such as: Nam ai, nam binh, nam dung, tau ma, sa mat, than, ha khac, noi loi, trong quan... bearing the traditional cultural identity. Especially in the pronunciation, the way of enunciating words but decisively and strongly of the people in Khuong Ha has created a special feature compared to other places.

Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh added: In the province, there are currently 2 heritages recognized by UNESCO as representative intangible cultural heritages of humanity; along with 13 heritages included in the list of national intangible cultural heritages by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
