Quang Binh households evacuated due to hill crack
A hill in the central province of Quang Binh has shown a crack, forcing many nearby households to be relocated.
The crack at the hill in Le Thuy District’s Lam Thuy Commune is 40 metres long and 20-25 cm wide.

As many as 13 households of 61 people near the crack have been relocated.
The crack has appeared following torrential rains caused by Storm Trami.
Quang Binh was hard hit by Storm Trami, with 32,800 houses flooded and 12 left dead, mainly in the two districts of Le Thuy and Quang Ninh.

Some hills in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong and the northern central province of Thanh Hoa have also recently suffered from cracks, causing many households to be evacuated.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the central region of Vietnam will face more heavy rains in some days.
