La Trong hydroelectric project is built in Trong Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, invested by the Thuong Thinh hydroelectric joint-stock Company with its capacity of 18MW and total invested capital of VND 348.5 billion. After putting into operation, the plant will have capacity to supply 66 million KW/h per year, contributing to repairing lack of power and improving the people's cultural and spiritual life, increasing budget receipts and raising density of service and industry in Quang Binh province.

At the ceremony, Director of Quang Binh Bank for Development Nguyen Thi Dung and CEO of Thuong Thinh hydroelectric joint-stock Company Vo Minh Hoai agreed to sign a credit contract for La Trong hydroelectric project. Quang Binh Bank for Development will be a financial sponsor for this project with loan capital of VND 243.8 billion (making up 70% of total investment) in the 10-year period. This is the first project Quang Binh Bank for Development made loan from credit capital source of the State according to Decree No.151/2006/ND-CP dated October 20 2006 of the Government on investment credit and export credit of the State.
