Provincial leaders offer incense at Ba Doc martyrs' cemetery

(Quang Binh Website) - In order to welcome the 61st anniversary of Fallen Soldiers and War Invalids' Day (July 27 1947 - July 27 2008), in the morning of July 26 2008, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, branches and unions offered incense and laid a wreath in commemoration of heroic martyrs at the Ba Doc cemetery (Bo Trach district).

Ba Doc martyrs’ cemetery, the largest one in Quang Binh province, gathers remains of hundreds of martyrs who laid down their lives in the battlefields nationwide during the years of the anti-American resistance war and Vietnamese voluntary experts sacrificed in Laos.

This was an opportunity to commemorate heroes who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, concurrently to educate revolutionary tradition for the people, especially for young generation.

On the same day, the delegation also offered incense at the Truong Son martyrs’ cemetery and Road 9 martyrs’ cemetery (Quang Tri) and thurified at the martyrs’ temple of Quyet Thang Road No.20.
