More than 60 out of 143 typical enterprises and representative of departments and branches attended. This was an annual meeting to evaluate production situation and propose orientations and solutions to solve difficulties for the enterprises in production and business.

At present, the whole province has 1,643 enterprises under foreign and domestic economic sectors, of which 10 State enterprises under the provincial management, 47 under the central management and 1,586 State enterprises. Over the past time, although the high increase of inflation affected to production and business, the enterprises have overcome their difficulties to invest and innovate technical equipment and widen production and business. In the first seven months of 2008, the industrial production value achieved VND932.6 billion, of which the Central management was VND797.6 billion, up to 31% and local management was VND135 billion, up to 8.7%; contributed VND107,402 million to the State budget, reached 57.4% of the plan. Some enterprises contributed a lot to the budget, namely "Beer Company, Gianh River Cement Company, Petrol Company, Viet Trung Rubber Company and Cosevco Porcelain Ware and Construction Company... Non-state enterprises have been being operated effectively with the turnover of over VND200 billion, up to about 16% against the same period.

At the meeting, most of delegates spent much time to discuss about difficulties in capital, site clearance, administrative procedures, especially procedures relating to land, issuance of construction licence and investment certificate.

Delivering a closing speech, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong high appreciated the effort of the enterprises in the past time, concurrently asked related departments to consider and assist the enterprises in solving difficulties to quickly stabilize production and business; create favorable conditions for the enterprises to easily approach the preferential policies and supporting programs of the State, especially the policies of capital mobilization, credit, lease for production and business premises, training and development of human resources and approach of business development services. Besides, the enterprises need to propose specific solutions to promote production, step by step innovating technology and equipment to improve the productivity and quality of the products and further the joint venture between the enterprises under economic sectors.
