Lao Industry and Commerce Minister Nam Viyaketh paid an official visit and had working session with Quang Binh province
Receiving and working with the delegation, on the side of Quang Binh province, there were Provincial People’s Committee Vice-chairman Tran Cong Thuat and representatives of related departments and branches. Attending the working was Deputy Minister of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Ministry Nguyen Cam Tu. On the side of Lao, there were Lao Industry and Commerce Minister Nam Viyaketh together with leader of the Departments of Industry and Commerce and some enterprises.

At the working, Chairman Tran Cong Thuat briefly informed of the provincial socio-economic situation, cooperation and commercial development of Quang Binh province with Khammuoun province and other provinces of Laos. Accordingly, implementing the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Quang Binh province and provinces of Savannakhet and Khammuoun (Laos) in trade, Quang Binh province has directed related departments to well implement state management in the field of trade and service in border areas and border gate, ensuring development of goods trade and two-way import and export turnover with two provinces of Savannakhet and Khammuoun (Laos). Then, Lao Industry and Commerce Minister Nam Viyaketh also informed about the Lao socio-economic development achievements and high appreciated cooperation in trade between two countries. He expressed his wish to further boost cooperation with the Industry and Trade Ministry of Vietnam. Minister Nam Viyaketh promised to do his best to reinforce, strengthen and develop friendly relation and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam and hoped to increase the exchange of information, boost cooperation and mutual assistance between the Ministries of Industry and Trade. He applauded the great achievements that Vietnam in general and Quang Binh in particular gained in the cause of renovation and believed that Quang Binh province would continue to achieve great results in the coming time.

Delivering a speech at the working, Deputy Minister of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Ministry Nguyen Cam Tu hoped that the Industry and Trade Ministry of two countries would further boost cooperation, exchange and promote economic and trade ties. The visiting and working of Lao Industry and Commerce Minister Nam Viyaketh in central provinces in general and Quang Binh particular will make a new breakthrough in cooperative relation between two sides and this is a good opportunity to draw experience in commercial operation. With regard to suggestions of Quang Binh province, Deputy Minister Nguyen Cam Tu acknowledged and promised to put forward effective solutions to help Quang Binh develop the potentials and boost cooperation between two countries.
