In the past years, under the direction of all levels of the Party and government, the "Day for the poor" Campaign has been actively responded by all organizations and unions, enterprises and people inside and outside the province. The total mobilized fund has been estimated at over VND55 billion so far. This the first phase, 8,640 houses were newly built and repaired for poor households, contributing to helping poor people stabilize their life and develop production, increase income and improve the people's living standards. In 2007 and in the first 8 months of 2008, the Font at all levels mobilized and built 1,012 "great unity" houses with the total donation of VND9,090,191,000; visited and granted 330 "Tet for poor people" gifts, worth nearly VND70 million...
