Build ''Great unity'' house for the poor in border and coastal areas

(Quang Binh Website) - The fundraising campaign to build "Great unity" house and some public welfare projects in border and island areas, launched by the Border Guard High Command in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Border Guard Day has been being actively responded nationwide.

Accordingly, implementing the policy of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee and the Border Guard High Command on building "Great unity" house for poor hosueholds and implementing the campaign "House for the poor in border and coastal areas" on occasion of the 20th anniversary of the All-People Border Guard Day and the 50th anniversary of the Border Guard Day (March 3, 1959-2009), the Provincial Border Guard coordinated with the authorities and fronts at all levels to implement the construction of 20 "great unity" houses for the poor households. So far, 10 houses worth VND15 - 35 million each have been completed and handed over to local people. Meanwhile, 10 others have been being quickly completed to hand over to the people before February 25 2009.

Knowing that, the Provincial Border Guard Command is now carrying out the construction of a medical station worth VND200 million in the Ra Mai mountain village, Trong Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, aiming at serving medical treatment for the people in Lom village.
