Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) and Vice-chairmen of PPC presided over the meeting.

At present, there are 57 State-owned enterprises and 2,526 non-State-owned enterprises in the whole province. In 2010, despite meeting the impact of financial crisis, global economic recession, epidemic diseases and natural calamity, but the province’s enterprises reorganized the mode of production and business, improve the quality and expand market, therefore, the province’s socio-economic situation have developed stably; most of targets have reached and exceeded the plan. GDP in State-owned enterprises increased by over 8% compared to 2009; industrial production value of non-State-owned enterprises reached VND2,061 billion, increased by 80.4% compared to the same period. Turnover of some enterprises achieved fairly, including Long Dai Forestry - Industry Company, Viet Trung Rubber Company, Son Hai Company, Ha Noi - Quang Binh Joint-stock Company, Plant Seed Joint-stock Company and so on.

A total budget revenues from enterprises achieved VND412 billion, of which revenues from State enterprises under central management achieved VND97.5 billion; revenues from State enterprises under local management were VND120.8 billion, achieved 107.9% of estimate; revenue from non-State enterprise were VND202.4 billion, achieved 131.6%, increased by 49% compared to the same period; revenues from foreign investment enterprises were VND834 billion, achieved 166% of estimate.

In 2010, many enterprises completed tax obligation and exceeded the assigned estimate, including Viet Trung Rubber Company (contribute VND16.2 billion to budget, achieved 134% of estimate), Son Hai Company (contribute VND13.3 billion, reached 164%) and Long Dai Forestry - Industry Company (contribute VND12.8 billion, reached 103%), etc.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai highly valued great contributions made by enterprises in the process of socio-economic development in the province; exchanged and answered some questions of enterprises, recorded and acquired new ideas of enterprises. Chairman Hoai asked enterprises to promote joint venture and cooperation between enterprises to strengthen mutual support in business; renovate technology and equipment to improve productivity and quality of products.

Chairman stressed that the provincial People’s Committee will take measures to help enterprises deal with difficulties in production and business and create a sound environment and the best condition for enterprises to invest and develop production and business.

Awarding the emulation flag to businesses for their excellent achievements

On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee awarded the emulation flag to 31 excellent collectives and the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee awarded Certificate of Merit to 32 collectives for their brilliant achievements. Moreover, the provincial People’s Committee commended and rewarded to 50 enterprises which excellently completed their tax obligations in 2010.
