The senior delegation of Savannakhet province had a talk with the high-ranking leaders of Quang Binh province on July 18. Receiving and working with the delegation were Secretary of the Quang Binh provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Luong Ngoc Binh; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Dang Quang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai; members of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee and representatives of provincial-level departments and branches.

At the talk, two sides informed each other of socio-economic development situation, work of building the Party, government, front and unions in the past time and highly appreciated the implementation of the cooperation agreement which was signed on October 4, 2010 in Kaysone Phomvihane.

In the spirit of solidarity, friendship and cooperation, two sides were of the same mind about some issues and signed a cooperation agreement in the coming time. Concretely, two sides will continue to maintain periodic exchanges; speed up the propaganda of friendship and solidarity between two nations, two Parties and people of Vietnam and Laos in general and two provinces of Quang Binh and Savannakhet in particular. Two provinces will also continue to further cooperation in trade, commodity exchange and tourism development to bring into play the potential and strength of each side. In the next academic year, Quang Binh will continue to help Savannakhet train five students at Quang Binh University.
