Vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Tuan; representatives of Departments of Planning - Investment, Transport and Resources and Environment; leaders of Dong Hoi city, Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Northern Airports Corporation and Dong Hoi Airport.

Dong Hoi airport has been completed and put into operation since 2008 with more than 2,000 passengers and 104 flights. As estimated, the airport will receive about 70,000 passengers in 2011 and 100,000 passengers in 2012.

Dong Hoi Airport has opened two air routes from Hanoi to Dong Hoi and from Dong Hoi to Ho Chi Minh city since July of 2009 with 03 flights a week and put airbus A320 of Vietnam Airlines into operation since March of 2011. In addition, nearly 200 flights were operated to service flood relief and seek remains of martyrs.

At the working session, representatives of the Northern Airports Corporation, Dong Hoi airport and concerned agencies focused on discussing some issues relating to Dong Hoi Airport such as investment, site clearance and construction of security fence, airport transaction center and residential areas for its staff.

Addressing the working, Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai recorded and praised the obtained results of the Northern Airports Corporation and Dong Hoi Airport in the past time and asked related agencies to have a close combination to solve difficulties and uphold the effectiveness and safety for flights at Dong Hoi airport, contributing to promoting Quang Binh tourism developments and creating attractive investment, especially in tourism infrastructure.
