PPC Chairman receives Chargé d'Affaires of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam

(Quang Binh Website) - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Nguyen Huu Hoai had a working session with Mr. Ravi Shankar, Chargé d'Affaires of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam.

Also present at the working session was representatives of Department of Foreign Affairs and Office of the PPC.

On behalf of provincial leader, PPC Chairman expressed his pleasures with the working visit to Quang Binh of Mr. Ravi Shankar, Chargé d'Affaires of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam. Chairman Hoai briefly informed of socio-economic situation, potentials and strengths of the province such as Hon La Economic Zone, Road No.12A and World National Heritage - Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park.

He also provided basic information on key projects which are calling for investment of the province, contributing to further enhancing cooperation in economics, trade, investment, science and technology.

PPC Chairman hoped that the Indian Embassy would have a close relationship with the province to promote cooperation between enterprises, create favorable conditions to contribute to the socio-economic development.

At the working session, Mr. Ravi Shankar thanked to PPC Chairman for warm reception and affirmed the friendly relationship and cooperation for economic development between Vietnam and India.

He said that about 61 projects of Indian businesses are currently invested in Vietnam with a total investment of US$250 million.

He expressed his hope that after this working visit, PPC Chairman would send specific information on projects calling for investment to contribute to further promoting cooperation and investment of Indian businesses in Quang Binh.
