Japanese ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary Yusuaki Tanizaki visits Quang Binh

(Quang Binh Website) - On Feb 16 afternoon, H.E. Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Viet Nam had a talk with the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee. Receiving and working with the ambassador, there were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai together with representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman applauded the visit of the ambassador to Quang Binh and expressed his admiration to the results that Japanese people obtained in the progress of rebuilding their country after the earthquake and tsunami happened in 2011.

He also informed of socio-economic situation, potentials and advantages of the province and thanked for Japanese assistance in building some projects, such as vocational training school, disabled school and irrigation works, etc.

In the future, Chairman hoped that Japan would continuously give a support to build primary school in Kim Thuy commune (Le Thuy district) and call upon cooperation and investment from Japanese investors for the projects on building the Hon La deep-water seaport to able to receive ships from 5,000 to 10,000 DWT; the Quang Binh thermo-electric plant for its second phase; and convalescent area of Bang hot spring, contributing to promoting development of industry and tourism in Quang Binh.

At the talk, the ambassador on behalf of the government and Japanese people expressed their gratitude to the sympathy and urgent support of Vietnamese people in general and Quang Binh people in particular. He also highly valued socio-economic achievements of the province and promised that Japanese side would create all favorable conditions for the province to introduce its potentials and advantages with Japanese investors.
