The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai; Minister for Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh and the World Bank’s Country Director in Vietnam, Victoria Kwakwa; representatives of central ministries and agencies, consultants, donors and leaders of 14 Central and Central Highland provinces and cities.

On behalf of Quang Binh provincial leader, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Quang appealed to international donors for supporting the source of ODA for localities, including Quang Binh province in order to carry out programs for mitigating natural disasters in association with building new rural program; strengthening investment in disaster early-warning and forecasting system and rescue equipment.

In addition, Vice Chairman Nguyen Xuan Quang also put forward with the Government, agencies and international donors to research and deal with the intrusion of seawater in the process of urbanization.

At the meeting, the World Banlk and donors highly valued suggestions and committed to assist the source of ODA for Quang Binh province in programs involving to hunger and poverty eradication and climate change.
