The event was attended by Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung; representative of the Vietnam General Department of Sports and Physical Training, and the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism together with leaders of relevant agencies and unions.

The tournament was opened on October 13th with the participation of 10 volleyball teams, of which 5 male teams and 5 female teams and divided into two groups.

After seven days of ebullient competition, the organizing board awarded the first prize for female volleyball team from Bai Bang Newspaper Company, the second for Tan Binh team from Ho Chi Minh City and the third for Ha Noi T&T. With male volleyball teams, the first prize was given to the Ho Chi Minh City's Police; the second to Vinh Long team and the third to the Military Zone 4.
