In 2012, the province has 54 NGO projects with a total pledged capital of USD7.1 million, of which, the disbursed capital reached USD4.3 million. The projects have contributed to economic development; improving the awareness of the people and reducing rate of hunger and poverty in remote areas.

At the working session, participants spent time on contributing their ideas to solving difficulties for NGO projects in the province and exchanged views on financial management and operation of NGO projects, contributing to improving effectiveness of the NGO projects in the province.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung promised that the province would create favorable conditions and mobilized all resources to further international aid work; keep contact with the sponsors and organize conference on investment promotion.

Vice Chairman also expressed his hope that the Working Committee for Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations would introduce Quang Binh province to international organizations.
