Speed up environmental development, urban infrastructure in response to climate change in Dong Hoi city

The ADB-funded project is carried out in Dong Hoi city (Quang Binh) and Hoi An town (Quang Nam). The project has a total investment of USD220 million, of which loan capital from ADB is USD100 million, co-financing capital is USD100 million and corresponding capital is USD20 million.
In Dong Hoi, the project will be carried out in Bao Ninh peninsula with six main components, including wastewater collection and treatment; expansion of water supply; flood prevention; development of land fund and capital infrastructure; construction of urban road and institutional capacity strengthening on management efficiency of local authority, community awareness of healthcare and environmental protection.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai thanked ADB for support and assistance and highly appreciated the importance of the urban infrastructure and environmental development project in response to climate change in Dong Hoi city.
The project should focus on investment capital for development of land fund and infrastructure construction for tourism development in Bao Ninh peninsula, Chairman Hoai said.
