The event was attended by associate professor, doctor Luong Ngoc Binh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council; doctor Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Vice chairman of the provincial People's Council; doctor Tran Van Tuan, Vice chairman of the provincial People's Committee; doctor Tran Tien Dung, Vice chairman of the provincial People's Committee; associate professor, doctor Nguyen Quoc Hung, deputy head of the Department of Cultural Heritage and 50 scientists from universities and scientific organizations inside and outside the country.

At the workshop, delegates listened to international and domestic scientists and explorers present the reports on geomorphologic and geological values and the earth's history; outstanding universal values oriented to the second nomination as the world natural heritage for the biodiversity criterion of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park; biodiversity values and tourism landscapes; impacts of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park world natural heritage on the socio-economic development; and measures of management, conservation and promotion of the heritage values.

The workshop was a good opportunity for scientists and explorers to share experience and increase the community's awareness and role in conservation and promotion of outstanding universal values of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park World Natural Heritage.
