Solar power supply project in Quang Binh province to start construction in October of 2013

The solar power supply project is funded by the Government of South Korean with a total capital of nearly USD14 million. After being completed and put into operation, the project will provide solar power for nearly 100 public service units and 55 villages in 10 communes that are currently not on the national grid, including communes of Ngan Thuy, Kim Thuy and Lam Thuy (Le Thuy district); Truong Xuan and Truong Son (Quang Ninh district); Thuong Trach, Tan Trach and Son Trach (Bo Trach district); Trong Hoa and Dan Hoa (Minh Hoa district).
The project will be scheduled to begin construction in October of 2013.
Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Xuan Quang stressed the importance of the project to far-flung and remote communes that are currently not on the national grid.
Vice Chairman also said the project management board and relevant units should closely coordinate and create all conditions to begin construction of the project as the set plan, ensuring the progress and quality of the project, contributing to improving local people's lives in the project areas.
