The event was organized by the Quang Binh Province Group in coordination with the Youth Union of Khammouane province (Laos), “Nghia tinh Truong Son” (Sentimental Attachment for Truong Son Road,) program of Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper and the Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh Road Tradition Association.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate memorial house to honour Vietnamese, Lao war heroes and martyrs

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, delegates and youngsters from two provinces of Quang Binh and Khammouane offered incense in memory of the war heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence, peace and freedom.

After memorial ceremony, delegates cut ribbons to inaugurate memorial house to honour Vietnamese and Laos heroes and martyrs who laid down their lives in Laos.
Memorial house was built from March 2014 by a group of young people from Quang Binh province. The project has a total cost of 219 million VND. Of which, 120 million VND from “Nghia tinh Truong Son” program of Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper, 45 million VND from the provincial People's Committee and 54 million VND from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quang Binh province.

Inauguration of memorial house meets the desire of war veterans and volunteer youths in particular, people of two provinces in general. This is a meaningful activity to express the gratitude of youngsters to great contributions made by war heroes who sacrificed for the nation's independence, and further strengthen the solidarity between Khammouane and Quang Binh.
