Donates nearly 2.6 billion to poor children in Quang Binh
Accordingly, the province will allocate the funding to grant scholarships for poor and disadvantaged children and provide free orthopaedic surgeries for 30 disabled children. Libraries will also be built in eight schools in Bo Trach district. Duration for the programmes is carried out until December 31, 2015.
The People’s Committee has asked relevant agencies to receive and determine the details of the scholarships, orthopaedic surgeries and assistance to school education to ensure the activities practically support the lives of a large number of disadvantaged and disabled children.
Established in 1995, Zhi Shan Foundation is one of Taiwan’s most successful non-governmental organizations engaged in long term humanitarian international aid and development work. The Foundation has thus far carried out a number of programmes for children in the central region of Vietnam.
