Deputy Prime Minister speaks at the conference

Participants included Mr. Luong Ngoc Binh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Tran Bac Ha, Chairman of BIDV Board of Directors; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of Ministries, government-attached agencies, localities, diplomatic agencies, international organizations, domestic and foreign enterprises, scientists and experts together with representatives of provincial-level departments and branches.

Opening the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee briefly reported on potential and strengths of the province and affirmed that Quang Binh gathers all favorable conditions to become a large tourism hub of Vietnam and Southeast Asia region.

Through this conference, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee expressed his hope that there will be more potential investors to Quang Binh to seek investment opportunities, especially in tourism, aiming at developing potential and strengths to promote the province’s socio-economic development. In forthcoming time, Quang Binh pledges to stand side by side with investors in key projects of the province.

Leaders offered gifts as a souvenir to the Government’s Deputy Prime Minister

At the conference, delegates were introduced about potential, opportunities and attractive destinations for tourism development through a TV reportage entitled “Quang Binh – attractive destination of investors”; mechanism and preferential policies, investment environment, tourism potentials and key projects calling for investment of Quang Binh province.

In addition, the conference also heard the speeches made by some scientists and experts about investment efficiency in tourism as well as solutions and experience in sustainable tourism investment; trade credit supply for investment projects from BIDV’s experience, advantages and difficulties, opportunities and challenges; solutions to attract investment in general and investment in tourism in particular.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee granted certificate of investment to investors

At the conference, nine projects were granted with investment certificates with the total investment of VND876 billion. A Memorandum of Understanding on investment, worth over VND10 trillion for 10 projects was inked. Credit agreements between BIDV Vietnam and enterprises were also signed.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed that the 2015 Quang Binh investment and tourism promotion conference was an important event of Quang Binh province.

This is a good opportunity for the province to popularise and introduce about potential, advantages and preferential policies of the province, aiming at promoting investment attraction. This is also a chance for domestic and foreign investors and enterprises to learn about investment opportunities in Quang Binh province, he said.

Deputy Prime Minister urged Quang Binh to translate its potential and advantages into development opportunities. Quang Binh needs to exploit its favorable location as a hub for international trade connectivity while promoting nature and biodiversity conservation to maintain its outstanding advantages, he said.

Besides, the province also needs to accelerate administrative reform, improve business environment, upgrade the provincial competitiveness index, enhance the application of information technology and tackle obstacles and difficulties against business activities while paying attention to manpower and culture development policies.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee speaks at the conference

On behalf of provincial leaders, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee thanked for assistance of the Government, Ministries, government-attached agencies, BIDV and enterprises in successfully organizing the Quang Binh investment and tourism promotion conference.

Quang Binh province pledged to accompany investors in its efforts to foster tourism while calling for domestic and foreign businesses to invest in tourism infrastructure, according to Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Ngoc Binh.
